Our song/video for “Die For My People” (click here to watch on YouTube) told a fictional story tracing the last 30 years of political history in Iran. ROTM’s newest single release, “Honor In Sin”, shares the true life story of emcee I.Sheik’s family. Just as the Islamic Revolution was tearing the fabric of a nation, Sheik’s family was being divided by the same civil war that gripped their country. The title track off ROTM’s new album, “Honor In Sin” tells the tale of division and reconciliation for a family caught on both sides of political upheaval.

Check out Revolution Of The Mind on the new album from DC The Midi Alien (East Coast Avengers) titled "Avengers Radio". Dope ass line-up including Vinnie Paz (Jedi Mind Tricks), Slaine (La Coka Nostra), Sabac Red (Non-Phixion), Esoteric & Trademarc, Reef The Lost Cauze, Outerspace (AOTP), and of course ROTM. Real soldier shit for 2011!!!

The group East Coast Avengers was created in 2008 by MCs Esoteric, trademarc and DJ/producer DC The MIDI Alien. Having dealt with almost 8 politically corrupt years of the Bush regime, the three banded together and the result was the controversial yet socially aware 'Prison Planet' album full of gritty production and razor sharp lyricism. The lead single and video, "Kill Bill O'Reilly" sparked a national outrage, getting the group's visuals banned from myspace and youtube and even gaining them notoriety on Keith Olberman's "Countdown" on MSNBC. The album was met with stellar reviews, landing on many "Top Albums of the Year 2009" lists; including a feature in NME magazine, a blog response from the right's prissy lap dog Michelle Malkin, live debates on conservative radio talk shows and numerous actual death threats for the artists themselves.

This time around the Avengers are armed with hip hop royalty from across the country, each bringing a particular injustice or rally call to the fore front of their social conscience, politically contesting diatribes.

Revolution Of The Mind premieres our brand new video “Die For My People”. We created this song last summer, in the aftermath of the uprising for freedom in Iran. The song traces the last 35 years of Iranian history/politics through the eyes of one fictional character, whose story is a combination of the true journeys of several real-life freedom fighters.

The track is produced by the world-famous Snowgoons, and the video is available exclusively on the Snowgoons official YouTube channel (see video above).
