Revolution Of The Mind & Sade!!...New Song for Anniversary of Iran Uprsing!!!

To mark the 1 year anniversary of the mass uprising for human rights and democracy in Iran, Revolution Of The Mind has released a new song as a symbol on the current state of the Green Movement. (The song, “Still Waiting (We Will Not Forget)” is a remix of Sade’s “Soldier of Love”.)
Though there were scattered clashes between freedom fighters and government forces on the anniversary of the disputed presidential election, the milestone passed “quietly” relative the millions of people that poured into the streets to protests last year. But this is not because the government in Iran has eased its repressive actions against its own people. To the contrary, it is precisely because the regime has intensified its crackdowns on dissent and free speech that people are more afraid than ever to stand up to their oppressor.
Some see this as a victory for the military dictatorship in Iran. Others feel that the Green Movement must adjust its tactics, and increasingly attack the legitimacy of this murderous regime through media campaigns and dissident communication, using the Internet as the front line in this modern war.
Taking both of these views into account, ROTM’s new song “Still Waiting (We Will Not Forget)” can be interpreted two ways:
As an opening salvo in the Green Movement’s new digital war against the regime; OR,
As a reminder to those throughout the ranks of the regime, whose hands are still stained with the blood of our fallen brothers and sisters, that nothing has been forgotten, and nothing has been forgiven. That their day of judgment will come.

Bay Area Marks the 1-year Anniversary of the Iran Uprising

The Iranian community in the Bay Area came out strong once again to commemorate the 1 year anniversary of the mass uprsing for human rights and democracy in Iran. ROTM performed for hundreds of attendees at the evening rally at Union Square in San Francisco.

Earlier in the day, we combined two global icons by marching the world-renowned Green Scroll to the Golden Gate Bridge. The Green Scroll is a 2,000 meter piece of fabric signed by Iranians in hundreds of cities throughout the world in 2009 declaring that Ahmadinejad is NOT our president, and listing a set of demands for our brothers and sisters in Iran, including basic human rights, and free and fair elections. The Green Scroll is the longest petition in human history.
